Bush the Embracer

George Bush Hugging young woman
There is an interesting article on The Washington Post about "Interpreting the Presidential Hug". Indeed he hugs a lot and thats essentially what its saying. The funniest thing has to be that there is a database that contains all the times and whom he has hugged. Quite hilarious.

Taken form the article
According to a database search, he has hugged hundreds of people in public: the families of dead firefighters and police officers; the parents of a posthumous Medal of Honor winner; workers at a Nashville bread company; the mayor ofHuntsville, Ala.; the jockey who rode the winning horse at the Kentucky Derby; the survivors of aKansas tornado; departing political mastermind Karl Rove; press secretary Dana Perino.

A blog? About a hugging president?

So frankly, its a bizarre idea. Photos of political figures hugging? There has to be something better. Actually, no, there is nothing better than the embrace of a political figure with his or her fellow citizens. No political motive, no taking sides, no biased opinions of either political party. You know, Republicrat, Democran, one-party system? Frankly, there's only one thing you'll find here and its so good you won't be able to find it on C-SPAN

The question is not why, but why not?

Our commander in chief, our president, the honorable George Bush is a hug-luvin president. Nothing wrong with it, Nixon had his peace sign, Howard Dean has his howl, and practically every president gives a hug and a kiss.

George bush has his hugs and there isn't anything stopping him!

If you think this is amusing and would like to toss a few pennies to a in-debt college student, I'd greatly appreciate it if you tell your friends about the blog, donate a dollar or two, or even visit my other website for college students called Still Undeclared.

Enjoy!
